LESSON DESCRIPTION
MUSIC LESSONS CAN HELP KIDS, TEENAGERS AND ADULTS
Taking music lessons is one of the best ways to encourage creativity and self-expression. Learning how to play an instrument stimulates parts of the brain improving math, and cognitive abilities, and allows the brain to expand its memory capacity. This allows aspiring drummers to improve their academic skills and retention abilities.
Learning the drums builds confidence. Repetition and refinement with encouragement builds up their spirits. They learn to embrace criticism and feedback as a form of progress.
Cultivating patience and discipline, learning to play the drums helps improve their perseverance, patience and life skills. If they spend hours, months or even years, practicing will develop their life skills to reach personal or professional goals.
DrumLife Studios is accepting a limited amount of students from the age of 10 to adult, beginner to advance in Brentwood, CA. 94513. Exceptions may be made for students younger than 10 but they must be able to reach the pedals on a full-sized drum set.
The air-conditioned studio (at Gill’s Music between Office Depot and Panera is located in Slatten Ranch in Antioch) is equipped with 2 drum sets. Professional digital recording equipment is used to capture each lesson if needed. The latest educational DVDs and play-along/minus-drums CDs are also incorporated in the lessons.
For younger students, parents are encouraged to sit in on the lessons or they can relax or do work in the internet ready waiting room. Dependent on the instructor’s performance schedule, an annual recital may be conducted for family and friends.
If our location is far from you, DrumLife Studios offers online drum lessons via Zoom and can do a combination of online and in-person lessons as well.
